General Description

Specially designed to automatically apply a coating solution on copper anode molds. Main device is a pneumatic automatic arm that transports nozzles that spray the coating on mold surface. It also includes a filter and pumping system and an electronic control by PLC

General Characteristics

System performs an optimum painting of the mold due to high pressure spraying and multiple moving passes. Coatin g application on pin-lift area is pulsed, allowing a good seal of that critical zone

 

 

 

Filter and pumping system is dual, easing maintenance labors and increasing confiability.

There is no clogging of pipes or hoses because there is a permanent recirculation of slurry coating.

Filters are self cleaning increasing operational benefits.

At the end of the cast, an automatic washing cycle starts. This is done with fresh water and helps to keep the circuit clean.

Anode Impregnation is almost null. When this system is used in combination with the right mold coating product and the slurry density is kept at nominal values, clean anodes are obtained.

Duty Cycle

Coating is applied in a smooth and controlled way on mold surface. Critical areas such as molten copper pouring area and pin-lift area are reinforced by applying a thicker layer of coating by controlling speed of the moving arm.

 

 


 

Anode Impregnation comparison.

Anode at the right is obtained with SAAD system application and exhibits very low coating material residue at anode surface when compared with anode at the right, which mold was coated with a static spraying system.
